The house is located near Peraia, a suburb of Thessaloniki. The existing three-storey building was bought “cold shell” by the owners, giving us the chance to create a home according to their needs.

Main entrance, living room, dining and kitchen are located on the middle level of the building, while bedrooms are on top floor. A few steps below ground level, there is a separate apartment.

Our concept was simple. The creation of a warm and safe family home.

Carefully selected materials, from a bright color palette, wooden floors and stairs, white and oak wood furniture, and large openings, created a bright and warm interior.

Our challenge was to design a modern home where all family members interact on same floor level, while having different activities.

Separation with unity achieved with the addition of a glass partition in the kitchen and the creation of three living room areas. A music corner with the kids’ piano and a library-window reading spot, occupy the left area of the living room, while on the right there are two comfortable sofas. A large dining table with a built-in, oak bench is right beside the kitchen and in the center, there is a modern fireplace with a TV-library construction.

Bedrooms and bathroom are more private rooms, located on the second floor of the house. There is a lift connecting all three levels of this property.

Keeping this project simple and elegant resulted on what this family was dreaming for: ” a place where they are safe, warm, and exceptionally loved”.
