Mountain house in Oreini Nafpaktia is situated at 850m above sea level on the hillsides of Trikorfo, on the center of the picturesque village Potidaneia, with views of the mountains of Gkiona and Vardousia. 

Our goal for this project was to design a vacation home for the family owners and their friends.  The existing family home of their ancestors, built before 1900 is in ruins, but we managed to maintain some of its history.

We placed the building on the same spot in plot, we used the existing rock for the construction of the new house and even some openings are in the exact same position as they were for over 100 years. 

The new family house has a metal structure, open loft, and a wooden roof. Large openings are in key positions to take in the amazing mountain views.

Simple and natural palette of materials, colors, and textures to harmonize with the stunning setting.
